You can shoot for individual frames but will not be likely to hit them. The SOS chain length has an affect on being able to get Hidden Abilities as well. This RNG is best used to get shiny Pokemon since a chain of 31 will allow you to shoot for PID re-roll blocks of up to 13-15 frames if you have the Shiny Charm.
